GE Criticare Patient Monitor B850

Model Number: B850

The GE CARESCAPE Monitor B850 is a high-acuity patient monitor engineered to provide clinical excellence and dependable data continuity across diverse care areas. Designed for the most demanding environments, such as the OR, ICU, and CCU, the B850 integrates seamlessly with external displays and parameter modules to deliver a comprehensive view of patient status. Its flexible, modular design combines the best legacies of Marquette and Datex-Ohmeda into a single, powerful platform.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Data Integration & Connectivity: Features iPanel integration for easy bedside access to labs, X-rays, and charting. It connects with the Aware Gateway for EMR communication via HL7 protocol and supports both Carescape and S/5 networks.
  • Advanced Clinical Measurement: Utilizes the CARESCAPE Patient Data Module for consistent hemodynamic monitoring during transport. It employs innovative algorithms like GE EK-Pro, GE DINAMAP non-invasive blood pressure, and 12 SL diagnostic ECG with 2-way MUSE communication.
  • Flexible & Intuitive Design: Offers “Pages & Profiles” functionality to configure monitors to specific unit standards. Users can customize views with 8 to 14 waveforms and up to 22 parameter boxes.
  • Specialized Monitoring: Includes dedicated software for OR, PACU, CCU, NICU, and ED. Specialized airway modules provide complete respiratory monitoring and gas exchange measurement.
  • Enhanced Alarm Management: “Auto View on Alarm” (AVOA) automatically shares high-priority alarms within the care unit, while an integrated alarm light ensures visual status indication from a distance.

System Configuration

The B850 processing unit requires an external display, typically paired with the GE D19KT monitor, which offers trim knob control for easy navigation. It supports various input devices via integrated USB ports, including keyboards, mice, and barcode readers.
